II Lines is a site-specific installation conceived for Bernay Abbey. Consisting of two LED strips shooting horizontal lines of light down either side of the nave, the artwork accentuates the building’s sight lines and reinforces its spatial perspective. By day and by night, this flux of light reveals the Abbey’s architectural elements and transforms them from static to dynamic. A soundscape distributed across eight speakers deepens the visual impression of motion and speed. Merging into synaesthetic fusion, light and sound move through the physical space in a seamless, unified flow.
